  As a big fan of the Blues, I was thrilled to find a guitar teacher whose main focus was on teaching the Blues. I was a fan of Jake's long before I ever started taking lessons from him so it was a bit intimidating for me at first but that nervousness did not last long. Jake is a very patient and positive teacher and makes you feel at ease no matter what your skill level is. He can make the lessons as easy or as difficult as you want them and he is willing to listen to the student instead of just jumping into a canned lesson that he teaches everyone. I have tried many different instructors over the years and I can honestly say the Jake beats them all. I have been taking lessons from him for over 2 years now and I continue to learn new things and my ability continues to progress. I would recommend Jake to anyone who is looking to become a better guitar player.

  My 14-year-old son has been taking lessons from Jake for more than a year and he loves Jake and what he's learning. Jake teaches him songs that excite him and make him want to push himself. My son thinks Jake is so cool (and he is) and that makes him want to perform better. We've tried many different guitar teachers and Jake really connects the best with my son. We couldn't be happier and our house is full of great sounds.
