  I went in to make a checking account and to see about getting a credit card. The atmosphere felt less like that of a friendly bank and more like a bank that wanted really badly to seem friendly. I was promptly greeted and taken to get an account created, where the banker rushed through the process, clicked a lot of the accept buttons to things I didn't understand, and actively encouraged me not to read any of the contracts I was signing. After the account was made, I asked about help getting a credit card. Now, I'm a college kid with no preexisting credit, and I don't blame Chase for this, but when I tried to explain my situation to the banker, she again rushed through it and didn't listen to me, ending up with me getting denied for the card she wanted me to select. On that note, she gave me a choice of 2 cards (the slate and the freedom), and told me that there was no difference other than the cash back ability, but I definitely saw a different %APR on the two different forms. Either she was blatantly lying to me or was not informed herself, and either way that's shady AF. 2 stars because they have free Dum Dums.

  I'm trying to make my first Car payment which is due today, and lucky me, all Chase Branches are closed right now due to System failure?.. I can't even phone them to make my payment, it's literally down everywhere. This Bank is COMPLETELY unreliable, First time using Chase and this happens? Lines of angry people outside the Banks wondering what is going on.. How unprofessional. I'm glad I bank with Wells Fargo. Thanks Chase!! Because of Chase Bank I will have a late cay payment and be charged with a Fee.
