  • This is a great place to bring kids of just about any age. The indoor exhibits are very engaging and interactive with a great staff that knows their stuff. The love animal exhibits are about average - not much room for the animals to roam and not much to keep them entertained - but many of the animals have been rescued after trauma, so it's great for teaching kids about some light animal science. The hiking trail is pretty great. Some nice views and nifty info plaques along much of the way help to add education to the experience, and if you're worried about getting lost you can check the trail on Google maps. There's a lot to take in, so pack a lunch and check it out.

  • Excellent place to visit, easy parking outside and trails are well maintained. A little noisy outside with the close proximity of mopac but doesn't distract too much from the visit. Good place to take children to explore a little bit of wildlife. Feel a little sad for some of the caged animals but releasing them back into the wild is not an option and explained on every enclosure. If you are in the area it's a good place to take a gentle stoll.
