  Worked with a friend on a flooring job at a property managed by Amar at Indus Realty. I don't recall ever working with a property manager or general contractor that is as shady as this man has been. Standard down payment of 20%, $1100, was paid without complaint or delay prior to commencement for the tile installation services to be performed. Now that 100% of the work has been completed, Amar claims he owes my friend $490 remaining balance, yet has not made any other payments since the initial down payment of $1100 was paid. Who in the world thinks that 1500sf of ceramic, wood grain tile installation costs less than $1.00 per square foot to install (take up and removal of existing tile and carpeting was completed as well)? So I won't get paid because this guy thinks he's going to cheat my friend out of over $4500 in labor costs? That's not how things work in Texas, Amar. If Amar has a supervisor or senior partner at Indus Realty, please do something about this guy. He's going to give your company a very bad rep if he is allowed to act on behalf of Indus Realty with such blatant disregard for the skilled craftsmen and laborers with whom you contract. In the meantime, buyers, sellers and contractors beware!
