They dont have sufficient visitor parking. Even though half the parking spaces are empty, they only have a handful of spots for visitors. I got towed when i was at a friends apartment for just a few hours. There werent even signs about towing or what to do if the few visitor spaces are full. Maybe they should realize their residents might have friends that come over?

Living here was a nightmare. My privacy was compromised due to unprofessional staff. The office had no communication, whatsoever. Very dishonest, conniving people. The first time I spoke with the manager on the phone was due to my partner's dog (nothing I had done), and she talked at me and yelled over me. There used to be a staff member who would sit in the parking lot, smoking, playing loud music daily. Several residents have had similar complaints of move out costs not being discussed in any way, only to receive notification from a debt collector that they owed money for repairs, months later. They upcharge, and also sent us over to collections, without any notice, for damages from the flood during the hurricane. Water damages were supposed to be repaired by them, and they never did so. Then, months after we moved out, they sent us to collections for a few thousand dollars, claiming that the damage was done by a pet, though the head of maintenance told us that we would not be held responsible for water damage. When I was living there, I once asked for a copy of the lease, which they never gave. Correspondence was never done in a timely manner. My partner once received a threatening voicemail from one of the staff. The apartments themselves were filthy, fixtures were all lopsided, due to an old, bad foundation. There were roaches everywhere, even scaling the outside walls during the daytime. Every resident I've known has said similar things about the units and experiences.

I have to say that when I firstly moved in, I was super excited because according to what I heard, the ridge is supposed to be a very modern apartment complex. I moved in with my cat and they assigned me a little 1b/1b room. However, after I moved in, I found that window was all sealed and there's no way to open it, which means the ventilation of the room is totally on AC, which is so unhealthy, especially when I have a pet with me. The carpet is very old and not even clean when I moved in. The fridge is like a 1000 years old and there are even some cracks inside of it. The walls in the bathroom started to peel off after a short period of time and the inside of the bath tub was peeling off as well. When it rains, the drainage system is horrible at the stairs. Some of their staffs are not polite and they are inpatient to answer your questions. What's even worse, before I moved out, I made sure to clean the room as best as I can and besides some stains left on the bath tub and some minor damages on the blinds caused by my cat, I can assure you that there is nothing in the room needs major repair and if there are, they are not caused by me because they were originally in bad shape already. I even have pictures in my cell to prove that. However, the ridge hired a debt collection company to chase me down and said that I owe them roughly $400 and this was the amount after the insurance has paid their portion according to the debt collection company. I was so shocked because nobody from their leasing office has ever tried to contact me about the details of the charges ever since I moved out. I left them my email and cell but nobody ever called or contacted. The debt collection company just sent me a mail says I owe them this amount of money WITHOUT a bill. I tried to contact the leasing office to talk about this but I can never get hold of the property manager. How could I know what I am charging for without a bill?? I was so disappointed and I won't recommend this place to anyone in Austin ever again.
